BreathReset (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the BreathReset mobile application (“App”) on iOS.
1. Overview
BreathReset is a single-device (standalone) app. All data—including your daily breath self-ratings, oral care habits (e.g. brushing, flossing, tongue cleaning, hydration), notes, and trend statistics—is stored only on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your logs or any personal health-related data on our servers or anywhere else.
BreathReset lets you:
- Log daily breath self-ratings and oral care habits.
- View 21-day improvement progress, streaks, and trends.
- Complete a self-test about likely contributors to your breath pattern.
- View non-diagnostic tips and a 21-day improvement plan.
- Set daily reminders to support consistent habits.
2. Information We Process on Your Device
2.1 Log and plan data
Your breath self-ratings (1–5), habit checkboxes (e.g. brushed, flossed, tongue cleaned, water), self-assessment answers, calculated “breath pattern” types, notes, and 21-day plan completion status are stored only on your device. Trend charts, streaks, and plan progress are computed from this local data. We do not send or store your logs or plan data on our servers.
2.2 Profile information
You can set a display name and profile photo (avatar). This information is stored only on your device (for example in local preferences). We do not collect or transmit it.
2.3 Reminder settings
If you enable daily reminders, the App stores your chosen time only on your device and uses the system’s local notification service. No reminder data is sent to us.
2.4 No account required
BreathReset does not require you to create an account or log in. We do not store any user account data on our side.
3. Device Permissions
The App may request access to:
- Photo Library — Only if you use the profile avatar feature, to choose a photo for your avatar.
- Notifications — To send you daily reminder notifications if you enable them.
You can revoke these in your device Settings (for example Settings → Privacy or Settings → Notifications). If you disable a permission, the related features will stop working until you turn it back on.
4. Data Storage and Retention
All data described above is stored only on your device. The App does not upload your logs, self-test answers, or profile to any server; it is designed as a local-only (single-device) application.
Data remains until you remove the App or clear its data from your device. We do not keep copies of your logs or profile data on our systems.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not transmit your logs, self-test answers, or profile data to our servers or to analytics or advertising partners.
6. Children’s Privacy
BreathReset can be used by people of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. All data stays on the user’s device. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about your child’s use of the App, please contact us.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple system frameworks (e.g. Notifications, Photo Library) and Apple’s SwiftData for local storage. We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDKs that would collect your data.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Your data lives on your device. You can remove the App at any time to delete all app data. You can also change notification or photo library access at any time in your device Settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
